MBL is committed to actively training its undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, research associates, and resident scientists in Conflict of Interest (COI) and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).  Driven in part by federal regulations specific to NSF- and NIH-supported projects, 91鶹 has chosen to train all year-round scientists and scientific staff in ethical behavior.

The goal of MBL’s COI/RCR training program is to increase integrity within the MBL community through awareness, attention, and open discussion.  The program is designed to increase participants’ knowledge of the standards applied to scientific conduct, critical thinking, principled research procedures, scholarly attitudes, and institutional values so that collaborations are successful and MBL continues to thrive.
